"My favorite by far: an independent study in Aerospace Engineering with one of the engineering professors." — Kash Sigdel '19
How did your Calvin education prepare you for a career in engineering?
Calvin’s engineering program has equipped me well for the future by helping me realize that engineering is definitely a career I will deeply enjoy. It's something I've learned gradually through the classes I take and my interaction with professors, graduates, and fellow students.
What kinds of opportunities—in coursework, off-campus or with outside groups—were available to you through the engineering program?
I’ve had opportunities such as the study-abroad program, really cool design projects assigned for engineering classes, career fairs for engineers, tours to engineering plants and factories, and my favorite by far: an independent study in Aerospace Engineering with one of the engineering professors.
What’s one thing you would want to tell someone starting their journey at Calvin?
