When you study sociology at Calvin, you'll look at groups of people—how they formed into groups and how that will influence future behavior. You might explore the darker corners of human experience in courses like "Sociology of Deviance," or scrutinize the stories we tell about ourselves in courses like "Hollywood—A Sociological Perspective."

As you gain a deep understanding of human behavior and relationships, you’ll identify ways to bring hope and renewal into broken lives and social systems.

You'll approach every challenging discussion and gripping case study with the guidance of experienced Christian faculty. You'll graduate ready to meaningfully engage with the people and systems that make up our society.
