A Comparative Analysis of Refusal Strategies in Colombian and Mexican Spanish

This project investigates similarities and differences in refusal strategies employed by Mexicans and Colombians during closed role plays. It also examines the relationship between these refusal strategies and the speakers’ choice of second person singular pronoun (tú vs. usted) to address different interlocutors.
