Join Sharon Traeger ’73, San Francisco tour guide, as she leads Calvin alumni and friends on a walking tour of Fisherman's Wharf.
Join Calvin alumni on Saturday morning, June 9, for a walking tour of Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco.
Sharon Traeger ’73, professional tour guide, will share stories and sights that make the Wharf a fascinating destination. We will learn the history of Ghirardelli Square, explore the business of Dungeness Crab, visit the historic ships of Hyde Street Pier, stop at the Maritime Museum for a look at its collection of art and artifacts, and learn the story of sourdough bread at Boudin at the Wharf, followed by an optional lunch together there.
Meeting location
Meet at the Mermaid Fountain at Ghirardelli Square by 9:30 a.m.
Lunch following the tour
Everyone is invited to join us for lunch after the tour at Bistro Boudin's (upstairs restaurant of Boudin at the Wharf). We will finish our walking tour there at 11:30 a.m.
Please note: If you are interested in joining us for lunch at Bistro Boudin's, please RSVP to valeriesterk@gmail.com so she can make appropriate reservations for the group.
