This tour sold out in mid-December and currently has a wait list. If you wish to join the wait list in case of cancellations, you may do so via the Witte Travel website. You will be notified if any spaces become available and would submit payment at that time.
Tour highlights
Join theatre experts Debra Freeberg and Gary Schmidt for a four-day trip to the Stratford Festival in Ontario. You'll view the following performances:
- Much Ado about Nothing
- King Lear
- Rent
- Casey and Diana
- A Wrinkle in Time
The itinerary includes two talk-backs at the theatre, group discussions led by Debra and Gary, free time each morning, and all dinners included. See the tour brochure [PDF] for a synopsis of each performance.
Trip leaders
Debra Freeberg, professor of theatre emerita, and Gary Schmidt, professor of English, have led multiple CALL and student tours to the Shakespeare Festival. Each day, they'll host a discussion of the performances viewed the day before.
Registration details
This tour is $1,345 for double occupancy with travel from Grand Rapids. The supplement for single rooms is $280. Compared to prior Stratford Festival tours, this tour includes one additional night of lodging to make the overall travel experience more leisurely.
Please register via Witte Travel. All registrations are accepted on a first-come basis until the tour is full.
