Enjoy a night on the town with (106) Gallery for an encore celebration of Access is a Civil Right.
Held in conjunction with April’s city-wide DisArt Festival, the exhibition features the work of photojournalist Tom Olin, whose striking images capture the countless marches leading up to the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act, as well as demonstrations in support of curb cuts, access to public transportation, and independent living for people with a disability.
At 7 p.m., join curator Dr. Elizabeth VanArragon for a gallery talk tracking Olin’s practice and involvement in the disability civil rights movement. Refreshments served.
THE MARKET: Studio Sale
(106) is also pleased to host a studio sale of mixed media works by Mandy Cano. Works range from paintings and drawings to collage and fiber pieces. Various antiques, studio furniture and eclectic collage materials will also be available. Come ready to purchase great art and amazing finds at low prices!
