The Fall Conference 2017 begins with coffee at 8:00 a.m. on the chapel patio. The plenary session will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. in the chapel sanctuary.
All faculty and staff are strongly encouraged to attend this conference; the conference provides an ideal opportunity to welcome newcomers to the community and to begin the year together in worship. Emeriti and retired employees are welcome to attend as well. New faculty arrive on campus for two days of orientation. Don't miss the chance to meet and welcome them at the fall conference.
President Le Roy will introduce the day with an address—“Cultivating a Vision for 2029.” The two breakout sessions will feature discussions led by colleagues from across the campus to continue the conversation about the keynote address and a few others options including Calvin LifeWork, Comprehensive Campaign, and Sustainability. The morning will conclude with lunch at noon on the commons lawn.
SPECIAL NOTE TO SUPERVISORS: Please encourage your staff to participate in the fall conference, both the plenary and the sectionals. The fall conference is a community event, meant to unite all Calvin professional employees—faculty and staff— in our common mission. Offices should be closed or minimally staffed during the conference in order to allow for full participation.
