GEO Seminar – Mid-Ocean Ridge Tectonics - Presented by Dr. Renee Sparks, Mr. Simon Detmer and Mr. Adam Tjoelker, Calvin University
Summary: Mid-oceanic ridge system are mountain chains that characterize crustal boundaries between diverging tectonic plates. Using global imagery sets, the morphology of these ridge systems and their relationship to the change in earth’s gravity latitudinally are examined to propose an additional component of magma generation below diverging systems.
