Tour leader
Ken Bratt, Calvin professor of classics emeritus and popular CALL teacher, has led 24 student or adult trips to Greece, Turkey, and Italy over the past 30 years. Dr. Bratt will provide a few evening lectures along with the daily site visits.
Pace
The tour will involve a significant amount of walking, some of it on uneven terrain. Most travel will be by tourist coach and a charter boat. Strenuous climbing or hiking will be optional. The second half of the trip (the cruise) will be more relaxed than the first.
Cost
The tour cost is $5999 with cruise ship rooms on the main (middle) deck or $5749 with cruise ship rooms on the lower deck. These prices are based on double occupancy and include flights from Chicago as well as bus transfer from Grand Rapids. The tour is set for 36 participants.
Your tour deposit is fully refundable until October 15, 2021. The tour deposit will become non-refundable following that date – even if you personally withdraw later, or if situations develop later which causes Witte/Calvin to cancel or postpone the trip. Please see the “cancellations and refunds” section of the brochure for details.
Travel insurance
Optional travel protection is available through Travelex Insurance Services. See their website for an overview of what coverage is included or excluded related to COVID-19, and also review the full policy.
