- Hiemenga Hall 468
Jona works for the Albright Stonebridge Group in Washington D.C. in their Africa Practice, where he provides research and project coordination and also analyzes political and economic developments across sub-Saharan Africa. He helps clients evaluate the goals of community development and international relations projects, in the context of culture, religion, political forces, economic constraints, and other considerations.
Jona graduated from Calvin in 2015 with a degree in International Relations and a minor in Business and was student body president during his senior year. He holds a MA in African Studies and International Economics from the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University.
There will be more to talk about with Jona than can be completed during the one hour breakfast meeting – he has valuable input on international development, international relations, international economic issues, the Calvin Semester in Washington D.C. (he’s an alum of the 2014 semester when he interned at the Washington D.C. Mayor’s Office), development and policies in African countries (and by the U.S. toward Africa), and more!
You must reserve a place at this event – contact Ellen Hekman at elh4@calvin.edu and include your cell phone number and any dietary restrictions. Breakfast location is the top floor of Hiemenga Hall, northwest corner conference room (HH 468).
