Monica Daye's life was forever changed when she was molested at age 11 at a Christian conference. Monica tells her intimate story as a survivor of sexual abuse and domestic violence, and shares what every person should know about how to help survivors.
Monica Daye is the voice for many silent whisperers; a leader, advocate, poet, and women’s activist. A fearless woman and spit-fire poet, Monica touches audiences around the country with her spoken word poetry, soulful stories, and fierce commitment to the healing of women and community. As the founder of the non-profit Stand Up - Speak Out, a community outreach program against domestic violence and sexual assault in Durham, NC, Monica's personal mission is to speak out and act out against sexual violence and domestic abuse.
