Come hear museum professionals from the Clinton Presidential Library and the Gerald R. Ford Museum talk about options for the field and what kind of work different people do in them. They will also talk about the best way to get into the field and where to find jobs.
If you have no idea what you want to do with your life, consider museums! Even if you have a career in mind, you might discover opportunities you didn't know exist. There are so many different kinds of public educational institutions for so many different fields of study there's certainly one to fit your interests.
Join us for a talk by Calvin history alum Christine Mouw ('88) who now works for the National Archives as a curator for the William J. Clinton Presidential Library. She will be joined by colleagues from the Gerald R. Ford Museum to talk about career opportunities in museums, libraries and archives, and other opportunities in public history. This informal event will include plenty of time to ask questions and get advice.
