When Every Second Counts: Air Medical Services
Tragedy can strike at a moment's notice. When every second counts, time and distance can make a ground ambulance transfer prohibitive for the survival of victims and patients. Air medical services are available for certain types of medical conditions and in favorable weather conditions, but who decides which services should be used and when it is safe for first medical responders and patients alike to fly?
Join Dr. Robert "Butch" Hubers to learn more about air medical services in West Michigan. Dr. Hubers is a Calvin College graduate, an Emergency Medicine Specialist, a Flight Physician for Aero Med and Chief of Transport Medicine at Spectrum Health Medical Group. All are welcome. Come and be informed.
The Your Health Lecture series is sponsored by Spectrum Health, MSU College of Human Medicine, and Calvin College.
