By James K.A. Smith of the Calvin College Philosophy Department
Sometimes contemporary Protestants seem to out-protest John Calvin. Indeed, if 21st century Protestants visited the sort of church John Calvin envisioned as the fruit of reform, we might be surprised at how “Catholic” it would feel. This lecture explores the important ways that the Reformed tradition is an accent within Catholic Christianity, and teases out the implication of that for contemporary discipleship.
