Gungor is the last name of husband and wife duo Michael and Lisa Gungor who collaborate with up to eight other musicians to produce their signature sound, which includes banjo, toy piano and glockenspiel. Their latest album,
Beautiful Things, is a musical expression of a shift in the band's understanding of what it means to be a follower of Jesus, expressing the ups and downs of the spiritual journey in a form they call "liturgical post-rock."
Gungor will perform live at 8pm on Monday, March 7 in the Covenant Fine Arts Center (NOT Ladies Literary Club, as previously advertised). Tickets are only $5 with a Calvin ID!
