“Can you be a Christian in China? Can you read the Bible? Go to church? What are the opportunities and challenges for Christians in China today?”
These are a few of the many common questions and concerns people have regarding Christianity in China today. Come hear answers and reflections from a Calvin alum and China hand who has spent years living in China and studying Christianity in China.
Jonathan Cady, a Calvin alumnus, has lived in China for ten years and has traveled extensively throughout the country. He graduated from Calvin College with a major in International Relations and first traveled to China in 2000 on the Calvin College Semester in China program. He has an MA in International Policy from the Monterey Institute and will complete his MDiv from Calvin Theological Seminary in May. He was formerly a recruiter for Calvin College in China and has had the opportunity to observe Christianity in many different contexts in China.
