LOCATION CHANGED TO JOHNNY'S
Recall the days of yore when soda was a carbonated treat heavily regulated by your parents or your friends' parents, when you looked longingly at the shiny 2-liter bottles of Faygo, when the island dancer on the television asked if you wanted a Fanta, or when you would buy cans of Vanilla Coke and bottles of Mountain Dew Code Red.
Remember the times when you ate ice cream out of a tea cup, and then graduated to two scoops out of a coffee mug before finally maturing to the point where you would just pile it into a cereal bowl and eat it with a soup spoon?
Think back to the anticipation when you saw solo cups, bottles of root beer, and buckets of vanilla ice cream and just waited for someone to mix them together and offer you a sample. The creamy feel of the root beer, the thinly encrusted scoops of ice cream suspended in their sweet, fizzy medium...
During this Homecoming event you can wrap up your Friday evening with the same delicious sensation, but done the right way - Grand Rapids style. Enjoy the freshest ice cream from Creative Dining Services, topped off with a jet of root beer from Schmohz Brewery, straight out of the tap. That's right - fresh ice cream from the PAIL, and fresh root beer from the KEG.
Join us, please! Please note, in the event of inclement weather, this event will move to Johnny's Cafe.
