The IMPACT Orientation program is an introduction for new, racially diverse students to Calvin College through creative activities focusing on belonging, thriving and developing their own success story.
IMPACT is designed for first-time, incoming AHANA (African American, Hispanic American, Asian American, Native American or Bi-racial) students as well as adult family members or guardians. This program is designed to complement PASSPORTs I–V and the overall orientation experience of new students.
This exciting and enriching experience helps students learn Calvin from the inside out and embrace the challenge of creating a positive IMPACT on their school and community.
We promise students will learn, laugh and begin to forge invaluable bonds with their new classmates.
As a participant in this orientation experience, students will connect with peers, current students, staff and professors who will be allies and advocates for their success at Calvin.
Programming for parents or guardians is also incorporated in this experience.
