Over the centuries, Normandy has managed to preserve its natural beauty and unique architectural heritage.
Embark on a journey to discover the finery of this region, cradled between land and sea: green countryside basking in light, majestic limestone cliffs chiseled by the crashing waves of the English Channel, and a thousand and one castles, witnesses to the former glory days and ‘‘sweet folly’’ of the Normand nobility, maintained today by passionate locals, nostalgic for a certain French-style art of living. This film reaches back to the Middle Ages and the exceptional craftsmanship passed on from generation to generation. It also honors June 6, 1944, and the sacrifice of more than 9,000 allied soldiers, that forever marked the heart of our nation. This is Normandy, land of wonders, land of memories. The filmmaker will not be joining us in-person.
