Create.Unite.Renew
“Reconciling all things.” This was the foundation from which the arts divisions at Calvin College began the creative process of developing the 2018–19 theme, “Create.Unite.Renew.” Our desire was to embrace not only the process of artistic creation but the emotional, physical, and spiritual healing that the Arts can bring to an individual and to a community. With this healing there is reconciliation and renewed hope. For the first time in Calvin’s history, all six Arts disciplines (Art, Music, Dance, Theatre, Writing, and Film Media) will join together with rooted intention to create a season that brings hope and healing to participating student artists, engaged audience members, and the greater community as a whole. You are part of the 2018–2019 season and we welcome you.
This activity is supported by the Michigan Council for the Arts and Cultural Affairs and the National Endowment for the Arts.
