The 22nd biennial conference of the Association for the Advancement of Dutch-American Studies (AADAS) will be held this year at Calvin College in the Prince Conference Center on Friday and Saturday, June 14-15, 2019.
The conference theme is Dutch Americans/Canadians and Education. Robert Schoone-Jongen of the Calvin College History Department will deliver the banquet keynote lecture.
An optional pre-conference workshop on genealogical research will be held on Wednesday afternoon, June 12. An optional field trip, guided by historian Richard Harms, to Dutch-American sites in Grand Rapids (air-conditioned coach) will take place Thursday, June 13.
The conference is suitable for anyone interested in Dutch-American/Canadian history –– academics and laypeople alike. There is room yet in all the above-mentioned activities.
