The Mathematics and Statistics Department invites all interested to a Colloquium featuring Associate Professor Chris Moseley. All of us are familiar with the real numbers, and most of us have an acquaintance with complex numbers a + bi, which abide in dimension 2. But there are also 4-dimensional numbers and 8-dimensional numbers, and in this colloquium we will explore some of their wondrous properties.
