Residence halls open for first year and transfer students only.
Students are encouraged to limit the number of family members who help with move-in, preferably being assisted by only one or two others. Face masks are required at all times during the move-in process. See the July 31 "safe return guidance for new students" update on the Safe Return website for details on move-in day.
Lunch
Students are able to get lunch from the dining hall, but there will be no meals available on campus for parents and families. See dining options near campus >>
2-5 p.m. One Stop
There will be a “One Stop” mini info fair outside the Commons from 2-5 p.m. for students and parents to connect with campus offices and services.
5-7 p.m. Dinner
Food and farewells: Students and parents will be assigned to an outdoor dining station on campus for dinner. Student meals are included in meal plans; families must pre-register for a box meal ($5/person). Families should plan to say their farewells immediately following dinner; students will begin QUEST orientation on Thursday evening.
Friday, August 28, 2020, 2 p.m. EDT
Parents and families are invited to tune in to the Convocation Ceremony broadcast. New students will also be participating in that ceremony remotely, with their orientation groups.
