Title: Graphs and Their Connection to Molecular Bioscience
Abstract:
Graphs are commonly used in data science to introduce constrains, and it has also been used in many physical models and molecular studies. In this talk, I will give a brief introduction in graphs and its properties, and introduce the motivation for why it is applicable to molecular studies. Then, I will give ideas for expanding a simple idea to a more complex mathematics, such as differential geometry, algebraic topology and partial differential equations. These topics are quite daunting at first glance, but it is actually quite simple with pictures, and it is motivated from biomolecular properties.
