Calvin University and Hope College present Tim Tebow, a special keynote speaker for the Second Global Congress on Sport and Christianity.
Our Speaker
Tebow is a two-time national champion, first round NFL draft pick and Heisman Trophy winner. In addition, he serves as a college football analyst for ESPN. Prior to joining ESPN Tebow played three years in the NFL for the Denver Broncos and the New York Jets. Currently, Tebow is currently pursuing a career in professional baseball as a member of the New York Mets organization. He is the author of three New York Times Best Selling books, and has established The Tim Tebow Foundation with the goal to bring Faith, Hope and Love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need.
Tim will speak about the challenges of his life in football and baseball, revealing how his values and his relentless will to succeed have molded him into the person and the athlete he is today. He will challenge others to do that same in their spheres of play and work, sharing aspects of his public life that included disappointment, criticism, and intense media scrutiny. He’ll talk about shaken confidence and ultimately not finding his identity in the praise or criticism of others. Finally, Tim will describe how in his public role he often encounters people who feel stuck and unable to take action in simple daily matters or pursuing lifelong dreams. Through his life stories, Tim will motivate others to quiet the voices of defeat and to step forward and do the courageous thing.
Conference
Tebow is on campus participating in the 2nd Global Congress on Sport and Christianity, a conference co-sponsored by Calvin University and Hope College.
Please note: participation in the Congress is a completely separate event and registration process.
