Early Music Consort of Grand Rapids
The Early Music Consort of Grand Rapids is an ensemble of musicians from Calvin College and the Grand Rapids area dedicated to the performance of early music on historical instruments. The ensemble performs widely in West Michigan, offering concerts and educational programs ranging from songs and dances of the Middle Ages and Renaissance to the masterpieces of solo and chamber music of the Baroque era. Founded in the 1970s, the Early Music Consort is currently led by Calvin Stapert and Timothy Steele, and the membership expands and contracts as repertoire demands.
The Notes at Noon Series takes place at noon in the Covenant Fine Arts Center Recital Hall on the campus of Calvin College. A dessert reception in the West Lobby follows the concert.
TICKETS: Admission is free; tickets are not required.
