With the adoption of the From Every Nation document in 2004, Calvin College has encouraged an anti-racist posture. Anti-racism includes beliefs, actions, movements, and policies adopted or developed to oppose racism. Anti-racism tends to focus on institutional or structural racism rather than personal or individual racism. This workshop introduces and unpacks the Anti-Racism, as well as, briefly reviewing the themes and goals of the FEN document. This workshop is offered in conjunction with the Stand Against Racism initiative of the YWCA. In partnership with the YWCA, Calvin College will be one of thousands of organizations nationally taking a stand to eliminate racism.
