Precision Medicine and Genetics are hot topics of current discussion. Consideration of these two concepts in the context of medical care raises questions concerning 1) the collision of cultural and biological evolution, 2) the application of scientific reductionism within medical care, and 3) the emphasis on the individual. We will discuss these issues within the context of medical translational research and general medical care delivery.
