SET is a mathematical card game in which players compete to find collections of cards, called ``sets'', with special properties. In this talk, we turn SET upside down and discover (another) interesting game hiding underneath it. In Anti-SET, the objective of SET is reversed: Two players take turns selecting cards and the first player to hold a set loses the game. You'll have a chance to play a game of Anti-SET, learn how geometry plays a crucial role in understanding the game, and (of course) learn how to defeat all challengers at the game of Anti-SET!
Refreshments precede the talk at 3:30 p.m. in NH 282.
