Ontario Bus Trip

Catch the bus to Calvin! Experience college life and have fun with your friends at the same time! Register yourself and a friend for Calvin College's Ontario bus trip to Grand Rapids, and get a chance to learn more about Calvin, meet students and professors and attend exciting events on campus.

Thursday, Oct. 27	8 a.m.-6:30 p.m. - bus ride (pick-up times and locations below) 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m. - dinner hosted by current Calvin students, faculty and staff 8 p.m. - meet your host and hang out in the dorms
Friday, Oct. 28	8:45 a.m.-2:30 p.m.* - Fridays at Calvin - Learn about Calvin, meet current students and professors, enjoy a campus tour and lunch. *You are required to attend these activities 2:30-6 p.m. - free time to go rock climbing and explore campus 6 p.m. - dinner and evening activities, with a variety of options available. Free tickets to campus events will be available. Take this time to hang out with new friends!
Saturday, Oct. 29	8 a.m. - breakfast on campus 8:30 a.m. depart campus 1-4:45 p.m. - drop-offs (see drop-off times and locations below)

Trip cost

A non-refundable $30 fee covers the cost of the bus that we use to pick you up in Ontario. Payment by credit card can be submitted on the last page of the registration form.

Thursday, October 27

• 8:00 a.m. - Smithville District Christian High School
• 9:30 a.m. - Toronto District Christian High School
• 10:30 a.m. - Hamilton District Christian High School
• 11:45 p.m. - Maranatha Christian Reformed Church
• 12:45 p.m. - London District Christian High School
• 1:00 p.m. - Lunch in London, ON (bring your own money for lunch)
• 6:15 p.m. - Arrive at Calvin College

Buses will depart 15 minutes after arrival. Use the schedule above to anticipate when you will need to be at your pick-up location and when you will return from Calvin. Please bring the two signed forms required for the trip. Without these, you will not be able to cross the border.

• 8:00 a.m. - Depart Calvin College
• 1:00 p.m. - London District Christian High School
• 2:00 p.m. - Maranatha Christian Reformed Church
• 3:15 p.m. - Hamilton District Christian High School
• 4:15 p.m. - Toronto District Christian High School

  • Calvin College - Group Travel and Participation Medical Form
• Passport
• Non-Canadian citizens: visa or immigration card
• Dual citizens (US/Canada): passport and Canadian citizenship card
• Signed and completed Release and Waiver of Liability Form (download now)
• Signed and completed Calvin medical form (download now)
• Money for lunch to/from Calvin
• Sleeping bag and towel
• Medications in prescription containers
• Optional: spending money, phone, headphones

What NOT to bring:

• Meats, fruits or vegetables (border check)

What Calvin provides:

• Transportation to/from pick-up stop/Calvin
• Beverages and snacks on the bus
• All meals and housing once you arrive on campus
