Join Calvin professor Henry Luttikhuizen in learning about Impressionist art
Join Calvin professor of art history Henry Luttikhuizen at the Detroit Institute of Arts to experience the Humble and Human: Impressionist Era Treasures from the Albright-Knox Art Gallery and the Detroit Institute of Arts, an Exhibition in Honor of Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. a selection of more than forty Impressionist and post-Impressionist treasures that trace the arc of a period that elevated the irreducible beauty of the everyday to the status of fine art.
Schedule
2–3 p.m. Prof. Luttikhuizen will present on the Impressionist era
3–5 p.m. Walk through the exhibit to see works by Degas, Cezanne, van Gogh, Monet, and more.
