This year marks the Oratorio Society’s 94th presentation of George Frideric Handel's famous work. The ensemble will be under the direction of Joel Navarro. Prof. Joel Navarro is professor of music at Calvin College and directs the Capella, Campus Choir and Oratorio Society.  Prior to his appointment at Calvin in May 2002, he was assistant professor and chair of the choral conducting department at the University of the Philippines College of Music for sixteen years.  This year marks his eleventh year as music director of the Calvin Oratorio Society.
