Service-learning is a lifelong adventure
March 13–20, 2015
For over 50 years, Calvin students have been serving to learn, and learning to serve through the Service-Learning Center.
PLEASE NOTE: Colorado alumni and friends, see your special invitation to be part of this group.
Now it's your turn
The Calvin Alumni Association is partnering with Service-Learning Center to offer the first-ever, student-AND-alumni, week-long service-learning project to flood-damaged Boulder County, Colorado.
The team will be coordinated by student leader Bernice Portugal and joined by Calvin staff member and former World Renew board member Roy Zuidema.
How will this work?
The alumni-student team will work with World Renew’s Disaster Response effort. The agency has been working in the region and Calvin alumni have been assisting.
Transportation will leave Grand Rapids on Friday, March 13, 2015, but alumni who wish to serve may meet the team in Boulder (by Sunday, if able) on their own.
Costs, details, questions
$350 per person for the week, which includes meals and lodging.
Please note: riding with Calvin is an additional fee. Please register online (linked above) and we'll contact you about additional paperwork that may be involved. Thank you!

Can't serve at this time?
We know not everyone is able to travel and serve. But what about serving from right where you are? Consider giving—to a spring break service-learning trip to help a student serve.
