Join the Chemistry Department in learning from Dr. Valeria Kleiman on Understanding Energy and Electron Transfer Through Time-Resolved Spectroscopy.
The solar energy-conversion challenge involves many areas of science, and our contribution focuses on the fundamental understanding of the properties of electronic excited states that play role in photoinduced energy transfer and photoinduced-multielectron-redox reactions. Within this context we explore excited state dynamics and couplings of cyano-bridged metallo-dimers (Me-CN-Me’), oligomers and nanoparticles. The talk will focus on coordination compounds studies of Ru based coordination compounds using 1-D and 2-D UV-Vis ultrafast time-resolved spectroscopy as a tool to understand the evolution of those excited states.
