Tigers and Honey at Comerica Park
Baseball has long been woven into the fabric of American life. Join us on Thursday, June 27, as the Detroit Tigers play the Texas Rangers at Comerica Park at 1:00 pm. All are welcome to attend and bring kids, grandkids, and friends for our day at the ballpark. For all who love America’s greatest pastime, your experience will be deeply enhanced by the stories woven of special guest Charles Honey on your bus ride to Comerica Park.
Charles Honey wrote a collection of short essays in 2014 offering reflections on the spirituality of everyday life, devout people of faith, and the great game of baseball in Faith On First: Thoughts of God, Nature, and Sacrifice Bunts.
We’ll begin boarding the bus at 8:00 a.m. in front of the Prince Conference Center, with an 8:30 a.m. departure for Comerica Park in Detroit. The price includes bus transportation, food, and game ticket. We’ll be seated in Section 112 (all seats in the shade), and your game ticket includes a free hot dog and drink. The bus will arrive back at Prince Conference Center at approximately 7:30 p.m.
Coffee and donuts/muffins will be served on the way to Comerica Park, and snacks and beverages will be served on the return trip. This event is open to everyone.
