Presented by Dr. Micah Watson, Director of Center for Politics & Religion and Associate Professor of Political Science at Union University in Jackson, TN.
While serving time in a Siberian prison for revolutionary activity in 1850s Czarist Russia, Fyodor Dostoevksy had a dramatic conversion to Christ. He went on to create some of the greatest novels ever written. Dostoevsky engaged the world of ideas and practices, not through straightforward rational arguments, but by the characters who came to life in his stories. Dr. Watson will explore Dostoevksy's narrative approach and illustrate its continued relevance for Christian cultural understanding and engagement.
Light refreshments served.
