Cornelius Plantinga discusses "No Need to Earn Your Keep: The Gift and Challenge of Hospitality."
According to Cornelius Plantinga, Jr., hospitality is the knack of making others feel at home when you wish they were. Recently appointed Dean of the Chapel at Calvin College, Dr. Plantinga has earned a national reputation as a brilliant writer, speaker, and thinker when it comes to applying Christian principals to everyday life. His 1995 best-seller, Not the Way It's Supposed to Be: A Breviary of Sin, was named the best religious book of 1996 by Christianity Today magazine. Dr. Plantinga says the challenge of hospitality, both personally and professionally, comes when we are stressed out or tired and we offer it grudgingly. The gift of hospitality comes when we find in the welcoming face of hospitality the welcoming face of God.
