Ola Gjeilo(pronounced Yay-lo) studied at the Juilliard School in New York City and is currently one of the most sought after pianist-composers in the world. Ola's concert works are performed globally, and his debut recording as a pianist-composer, the lyrical crossover album Stone Rose, was released in 2007. Many of Ola’s choral works are featured on Northern Lights (2012), which is devoted entirely to his music for choir. The November 10 performance will feature a world premiere by Ola Gjeilo sung by the Alumni Choir and Women’s Chorale.
The Alumni Choir and Women's Chorale are under the direction of Prof. Pearl Shangkuan.
TICKETS: $15 Adult, $5 Student/Child.
Tickets go on sale one month prior to the performance and are available at the Calvin College Box Office.
