Judge Robert Jonker has spent more than a decade on the federal bench. He will reflect on that time, from his nomination and confirmation in 2007 to becoming Chief Judge of the Western District of Michigan in 2015. His remarks will cover experiences from Grand Rapids to Cincinnati, and will touch upon a series of Stob Lectures offered at Calvin by his mentor, the Honorable John Feikens. Join us for an interesting time of fellowship and conversation.
About our speaker
The Honorable Robert Jonker is a 1982 graduate of Calvin College. He is a former partner at Warner Norcross & Judd LLP and currently serves as the chief United States District Judge of the US District Court for the Western District of Michigan. He was nominated for this position by President George W. Bush in 2007.
