Calvin University's School of Health Speaker Series welcomes Jon Tilburt, M.D. a professor of medicine and biomedical ethics at Mayo Clinic, to our campus to give a lecture on the countercultural meaning of the Heidelberg Catechism in modern healthcare.
The first and most famous answers in the Heidelberg Catechism states, “I am not my own but belong body and soul, in life and in death to my faithful Savior Jesus Christ.” In this talk Jon Tilburt, MD, a Professor of Medicine & Biomedical Ethics at Mayo Clinic will highlight themes from the Heidelberg, inviting audience members to reflect on its countercultural meaning and its implications for wholehearted service and living (and dying) in modern healthcare.
