Details
You're invited to join area alumni and friends on Tuesday, March 3, at 7 a.m. for the Calvin Executive Breakfast Series, this year's theme is The Future of Everything.
The topic for our March event will feature Mary Tuuk '86. Mary is the President and CEO of the Grand Rapids Symphony, one of America’s leading regional orchestras. Mary studied music and business at Calvin, served as an executive in banking and at Meijer, before connecting her musical passion with her professional pursuits. She currently still sings in the Grand Rapids Symphony Chorus. Mary will tell us about The Future of Music as she shares the story of the Grand Rapids Symphony and many of the innovative strategies they’ve employed in becoming and remaining a top orchestra and cultural force in Grand Rapids and around the country. Hear about the innovative strategies employed by the GR Symphony, and come away with ideas to reinvigorate your own organization's strategies.
Dr. Tiffany Engle, associate professor of music and director of woodwind, brass, and percussion studies, will introduce the speaker and moderate the time for questions and answers afterward.
