Todd Kapitula Ph.D. Professor of Mathematics and Statistics Calvin College
You plug "Kapitula+math" into your Google search engine. A list of hits comes up in 0.83 seconds. How is it that Google decides which of the 18,000+ results are important? And, why is the most important web page associated with Calvin College (Prof. Kapitula has taught/worked/lectured at many places over the years)? A short excursion through mathematical modeling, linear algebra, and dynamical systems provides tantalizing clues.
Refreshments precede the talk at 3:30pm in NH-282.
