LASA (Latin American Students Association), along with several other departments at Calvin plus a coalition of area universities, is supporting the GRLAFF (Grand Rapids Latin American Film Festival) this year. Jayro Bustamante, Guatemalan Director of the movie Ixcanul, will visit Calvin College at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 1 for a brunch and a Q & A about his movie.
Ixcanul will be presented at the Wealthy Theater on Friday, March 31 at 8:00 p.m., followed by a Q & A. If you are not able to attend the show on Friday night, you still have the chance to watch it on Netflix, and attend the brunch and Q & A at the Lobby of the De Vos Communication Center on Saturday.
