Art and Art History
“Curator Tours” with Joel Zwart of the current exhibition “The Creative Process: Drawings, Prints, Plates and Watercolors by Reynold Weidenaar” at the Center Art Gallery.
2 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Business
The business department will have representatives of student organizations to talk about great things they do and to present posters with highlights of their activities. There will be informal presentations of CAP projects (real-world business consulting) carried out by students, and faculty will be available for friendly conversations. Find us in the newly furnished alcoves in the department halls.
Communication Art and Sciences
Alumni and families will have an opportunity to talk with faculty and to see our students' most recent work. We will host our event in the DeVos Communication Center, lower level, with viewing of the Film and Media Showcase and demonstrations in the studio.
Economics
The economics department will have a harvest-themed informal gathering with fall-inspired donuts and cider and free-flowing conversation in NH 165.
Education
The Teacher Education Program will host alumni and families from 2–4 p.m. for a meet-and-greet with faculty and emeriti. Included will be a ‘kid zone’ of yard games planned and cookie decorating supervised by SPEC, our student organization. We’ll have doughnut holes, apples and cider available on the lawn outside of the Spoelhof Café.
Engineering
Since we have a presence in the Science Building and the Vermeer Engineering Projects Center, we will have people in both places giving tours with refreshments available.
Psychology
We will have students available to talk about research they have been involved in, professors to talk about the new neuroscience concentration and an EEG demonstration. We will also serve refreshments in Science Building 343.
Residence Halls
Tours will be available in each residence hall lobby from 2–4 p.m. with refreshments served in each building.
