Guest Speaker: Nurya Love Parish Plainsong Farm Friday, Feb. 22, 2019 1:30 - 2:30p Science Building 010 ("the Pit")
Just half an hour north of Calvin, a nationally recognized new ministry is integrating soil, seed and watershed stewardship, biodiversity conservation, regional food systems development, and Christian discipleship. Plainsong Farm & Ministry, co-founded by Nurya Love Parish in Rockford in 2015, is both a Community Supported Agriculture farm and a new mission of the Episcopal Church with a strong ecumenical and community orientation. Learn more about the theological and Scriptural roots of this ministry as well as its early fruit, including the development of a new young adult fellowship program and immersive discipleship practice growing heirloom wheat for communion bread.
