- Lake Drive Greenhouse
Bring a friend to the greenhouse and join in the vital work of restoring the Plaster Creek watershed, one plant at a time.
Native Michigan plants are the rock stars of watershed restoration work in the Plaster Creek watershed. Once planted, they sink their deep roots into the soils helping polluted storm water to slow down and soak in, while also gobbling up the nutrients and breaking down the pollutants. Volunteers play a vital role transplanting the seedlings into plug flats where the plants begin growing these deep roots. Thousands of these plants are needed each season, so many hands makes lighter work.
The greenhouse is open from 5:00pm-8:00pm for you to come and go as your schedule allows. Bring a friend to visit with or meet someone new, but plan on getting dirty and dress accordingly.
Thanks for supporting the restoration of this watershed.
