Title: Gut Microbiota regulates systemic iron homeostasis in mice by modulating intestinal HIF-2α activity
Summary: The human digestive system is extensively colonized by diverse microbiota. Given that this gut microbiota requires some of the same nutrients, we sought to determine how the host and microbiota interact when it comes to nutrient acquisition. Using mouse models, we explored how gut microbiota influences iron homeostasis in mice and propose a potential mechanism.
