Around the world and across time, the leaven of the New Covenant in Jesus Christ has been working through the dough of the human family.
This lecture explores “points of contact” between reform of the human family through Ru (Confucian) moral cultivation and reform of the human family through Christian faith in practice. How may these two kinds of reform work together as the Lord continues to transform the human family into “one great family” around the world and across time?
Dr. Diane B. Obenchain is Senior Professor of Religion at Fuller Theological Seminary and founding director of Fuller’s new Chinese Studies Center. Previously, Dr. Obenchain was Professor of Religious Studies at Calvin College (2005-2014) and is currently teaching as an Adjunct Professor of Religion at Calvin University.
