A three day Pre-College program event held in January around the day of celebration for Martin Luther King. This program is geared towards equipping young leaders to lead effectively in every aspect of their live.
During their three day stay at Calvin College, students will be participating in a host of featured workshops, seminars, community service-learning, and dorm life and campus fun with Calvin College students. The weekend is designated to explore the philosophy of Martin Luther King Jr and the Civil Right movement in affecting positive social change. The weekend is designed to teach students about being a community leader through workshops and service learning activities. If a student is interested in bettering their community, then the MLK Weekend is for them.
Who can apply?
We are seeking students that are:
- 9th - 12th graders, living in West Michigan and the Detroit area
How to apply
To participate, high school students must complete an application and get a recommendation from their teacher, pastor or counselor.

Cost
A $40 enrollment fee upon acceptance to the program.
