Biography
Andrew Pool teaches Viola at Calvin University. Pool is a graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy, holds a Bachelor degree in Viola Performance from the University of Iowa, and a Master of Education with an Emphasis in Music degree from Grand Valley State University. Pool's primary teachers include William Preucil, Sr., and David Holland. Pool has performed in masterclasses with Peter Slowick and Isaac Stern. Since 1993, Mr. Pool has been a regular performer with the Grand Rapids Symphony and has held positions with the Cedar Rapids (Iowa) Symphony and the West Michigan Symphony. Mr. Pool is on the conducting staff at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp during the summer. Mr. Pool is in his twentieth year as orchestra director and instrumental music teacher in the Forest Hills Public Schools.
